Sunday Morning Meditation Service
A Sunday morning meditation service is being held at 9:00 am in the church Hondo, before every regular service. The sessions are led by Rev. Abiko and Ministerial Assistant Mr. Jerry Bolick, and feature quiet sitting and walking meditation practice. All are invited to come and engage in these practices to deepen their awareness of the Nembutsu teaching.
Thursday Study Sessions
Every first Thursday 7 - 10 pm, throughout the year, we will have study sessions. We'll begin by reading “A Life of Awakening” together, one chapter at a time. This is open to everyone, beginners and experienced alike.
Introduction To Buddhism
Long-time BCSF member and Minsterial Assistant Jerry Bolick will lead a weekly study group that meets Monday evenings, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The first part of the class will be lecture and discussion on foundational principles and teachings; then we will do readings together that will explore Pure Land roots and ideas.
